Contract Ratification is tentatively scheduled for February 21-23. Your departmental stewards will be doing the voting in departments and general voting locations will be at Strozier and the Faculty Senate meeting.

On Friday February 24th, the UFF and BOT bargaining teams will meet from 2:00 to 4:45 at the FSU Training Center. Topics to be discussed are Salary Plan for Professors (SPP), Evaluations, Promotion and Tenure provisions in the Collective Bargaining agreement. The meeting is open to all faculty members.
To break with tradition the March First Friday will be held on the third Friday! We will meed at Miller’s Ale House, 722 Apalachee Parkway, from 5:00-7:00 on March 16th.
The UFF Executive Council will meet Thursday, March 15th at 4:00 PM in Oglesby Union, room 311A. All faculty are welcome to attend.
Thursday, December 15th, 12:30 pm. Lunch with Jeff Wright, the Florida Education Association’s Director of Public Policy Advocacy, in the Askew Student Life Center (SLC) Rooms 101A-D. Tentative topic: “It Could Be Worse (And How Faculty Can Make It Better).”
The December First Friday will be held at The Lounge in Market Square (next to A la Provence and across from Kitcho), off Timberlane Road, from 5:00-7:00 on December 2.

The November First Friday gathering will be held from 5pm to 7pm on Friday, November 4 at Bird’s Oyster Shack, on Bronogh between Tennessee and Virginia Streets.
The UFF-FSU Executive Council meets on Thursday, October 13 at Room 219 in the Student Services Building at 4:00. Executive Council meetings are open to all UFF-FSU members.
October’s UFF-FSU First Friday gathering will be held at Ray’s Steel City Saloon on John Knox Road, just off Monroe Street across from the Tallahassee Mall. We’ll be gathering there from 5:00-7:00 and, as always, UFF will provide light snacks. All are welcome.
